out of all the different things i
love to do, scenic painting is
my favorite. i love the
challenge and the varied
textures, colors, surfaces, and
shapes of things to paint. i love
ladders and painting at heights
(see section on aerial dance). i
love the transient nature of scenic
art-- today it's on stage receiving
a standing ovation; tomorrow it's
torn into pieces, halfway in the
dumpster, with forgotten bits on
the scene shop floor.
